West Rim Trail
On my first day at Zion, I hiked the West Rim Trail up
to Angel's Landing. The trail starts at the bottom of the
canyon, winds up through Refrigerator Canyon, and heads up
to Scout's Lookout. A spur then climbs up a semi-technical
hike up to Angel's Landing, which is 1500 feet above the
canyon floor.

The trail to Angel's Landing
This woman was meditating, sitting on a rock formation
at the edge of Angel's Landing. She wasn't fazed at all by
the fact that the rock formation sloped towards the cliff's edge.
Below her on the ridge was a man performing a traditional
Native American spirit ceremony.
The views from the top of Angel's Landing are worth the
climb up.
