Nichols Arboretum, known affectionately as the "Arb", is a woodland area that covers 123 acres along the Huron River. The Arb has a little of everything, including rolling hills, woods, wildflowers, running trails, and grassy open spaces. It is one of my favorite spots in Ann Arbor, and this is a little glimpse of the beauty of the Arb.
The northwest entrance of the Arb is next to the
University of Michigan Medical Center,
and takes you to a path that runs along the Huron River.
Across the river from the Arb is
Huron Towers, which is where I used
to live.
In the middle of the Huron River is a water sculpture. A local
resident created the sculpture and maintains it in his spare time.
